Care guide

Keep it thriving.

Care notes for this piece, from our tanks to yours. A care guide comes with your order, too.

Lighting

Moderate light, like the scattered sunlight of a lagoon. Too much stresses it; too little slows growth.

Flow

Gentle, indirect flow so the tentacles sway freely. Strong flow keeps the polyps pulled in.

Feeding

Feed small particle foods (reef roids, phytoplankton or finely chopped meaty foods) 2?3 times a week.

Placement

Give it room to open fully, away from aggressive corals, on a ledge where flow is soft and steady.

Acclimation

Goniopora is sensitive to sudden changes. Drip acclimate slowly and keep alkalinity, salinity and flow steady.
